MADISON, WIS — The college dropout rates continue to climb in Wisconsin – for presidents of Wisconsin college systems.
The very last candidate being considered for UW System president dropped out Friday, citing a want for work experience first.
“I think I’m gonna work for my dad for at least a year before I go run a Wisconsin university system, just so I can get some experience in the workforce first, you know?” former candidate Jim Johnsen said. “After that, I think I might be ready. Or I might just travel for a couple years, I don’t know.”
The UW system will now need an entirely new pool of candidates. So far, front-runners include Jeb Bush, the UW-La Crosse Dance Team and an actual badger.
