Local Man Plans Counter Protest by Staying Home and Not Dying

LA CROSSE, WIS — In response to protests breaking out across the US demanding governors to loosen restrictions on shelter-in-place orders, one man in La Crosse plans to counter protest by staying home and not risking anyone’s health or safety – including his own.

“I feel like the best way to protest the protesters out there right now is to just outlast them,” La Crosse resident Sammy Fredrickson said, “so that’s what I’m going to do. I’ll watch Tiger King a third time if I have to, I don’t care.”

This is the first counter protest in which he’s taken part. Fredrickson indicated he may be open to more in the future, if it meets his criteria of importance.

“I’ll only participate if I feel strongly enough,” he said, moments after comfortably finishing yet another episode of Community. “Staying home sucks, but if I have to not die to prove a point I strongly believe in, so be it.”
